On September 8, Fide celebrated the Online coffee of the Business and Company Criminal Law Debate Forum.

Each filtering bag Fide forums cafes Their purpose is to bring together the directors and assistants of the different Forums to jointly define the current issues and issues that will be addressed in each session during the 2021-2022 academic year. At the meeting of Forum on business and corporate criminal lawFirst, the co-directors of the Forum intervened, presenting an agenda of current issues that they discussed with the regular attendees. Among the topics addressed, the topics related to the imputation of legal persons and the right of defense of the same generated special interest, being set the next session on Imputation and right of defense in the responsibility of the legal person, in which the procedural issues that the investigative practice has been raising in recent cases that have affected large companies will be analyzed; The session will be held on October 20, from 15:00 p.m. to 16:30 p.m. (Spain time) in hybrid format.

Other topics that were pointed out either by the co-directors, or through the contributions of the attendees, were the following: the incidence of the tests expert and  external forensic in proceedings against legal persons, the role of the in-house lawyer (company lawyer) and professional secrecy; the relevance of the acts advised and its special impact on the assumptions of error in tax crime; The documentary falsity, the evidence obtained through the use of technology in research and its validity in the criminal process; in particular, also, the reform of the Criminal Procedure Law and its implications in economic criminal law; the punishable insolvencies; the crime of swindle; or also the limiting actions on content and freedom of expression in private entities; the unfair administration of the boards of directors; and the boundaries between urban infractions and urban crimes. The co-directors thanked all attendees for their participation and the numerous ideas for the work in the forum, which will gradually take shape in the sessions that will be scheduled.
