Workgroup

Data Protection: RGPD / LOPDGDD

Why?

The Data Protection Working Group held its first meeting in November 2016 after the publication of the General Data Protection Regulation (“RGPD”) and focused its work on the analysis of the Regulation that would enter into force on May 25, 2018 and to the analysis and contribution in the public consultation of the Draft Spanish Law for the development or complement of the RGPD that concluded with the publication in the BOE on December 6, 2018 of the new LO 3/2018, of December 5, of Protection of Personal Data and guarantee of digital rights ("LOPDGDD").

After the entry into force of the LOPDGDD and the RGPD to which it complements, FIDE considered it important to continue the work of the TPDP.
