New Cycle of Sessions of Fide on Innovation and Efficiency in Barcelona

"In this cycle we intend to debate and evaluate the evolution of the legal sector in this new era marked by innovation and efficiency."

We present the new cycle of sessions on Innovation and Efficiency, which will take place in Barcelona and will consist of four sessions to be held between February and May 2023.

In this cycle we intend to debate and evaluate the evolution of the legal sector in this new era marked by innovation and efficiency. The profession is in full evolution where it is not enough to be technically good, we must add new knowledge and skills that lead us to generate efficient processes and explore new ways of providing legal services including new models, new ways of communicating, technology and Design Thinking methodologies as an important part of innovation. It is a series of sessions on current issues, open to questions and with the spirit of exploring with front-line professionals the most relevant trends in the legal sector.

The first session: Relationship external/internal lawyers. What do clients expect from their lawyers?, in which the following will participate: Ana Bayo, Director of Legal, Patents & Compliance at BAYER IBERIA, Jose Maria Roji, Partner of the Commercial Department at Cms-Albiñana & Suárez De Lezo. referee and how moderator: Eugenia Navarro, Director of the Legal Operations and Legaltech programs of the ESADE / MIT Professional Education Professional Certificate. In this session we will analyze the key elements of the relationship between external lawyers and internal lawyers in light of new trends. How important is technology to select a firm? What influence does price have? Are ESG criteria decisive?

the second session: Legal operations, the key to survive and adapt to change in the legal sector. What are they? We will analyze legal operations, which represent the profession with the highest growth in the legal sector, its objective is the operational excellence of legal processes applying business management criteria. We will speak with experts in the field who have promoted and created operational projects by innovating in their legal consultancies. 

the third session: Personal brand of the internal/external lawyer. How to gain influence in the organization from external recognition. Social networks offer an excellent tool to generate a personal brand and innovate in the way of communicating and presenting services. Communication in the legal sector has evolved in the last decade with the appearance of new platforms, media and a new way of approaching the client. 

Last in the fourth session: Innovation and technology. Where is technology taking us in the legal sector? Technology is a key tool for innovation processes, but before implementing any technology it is necessary to know what for and why. In this reflection, the client is at the center and we must learn to integrate it into the firm's innovation processes.

Schedules: The sessions will be held in person at the headquarters of the Notarial College of Catalonia (Carrer del Notariat, 4 – Barcelona)., in hours from 15.00:16.30 p.m. to XNUMX:XNUMX p.m. with a pre-session snack 14.15h to 14: 50h.

Methodology: The dynamics of holding the session will respect the usual regime of Fide and the participation and interaction between speakers and attendees as well.
