Oxford/25 Congress Wraps Up with a Clear Call for Pragmatism, Impact, and Execution in Sustainable Finance

Oxford, 20 September 2025 – From 17 to 19 September 2025, the Oxford/25 Congress – Reaching Pragmatism in Sustainability brought together over 80 speakers and participants at Jesus College, University of Oxford, for three days of deep, multidisciplinary dialogue on the future of sustainable finance. Organised by the GET-2 Think-Tank, an initiative of the Fide Foundation, in collaboration with leading industry partners, the Congress tackled the most pressing questions in sustainability: how to move from commitment to execution, and from theory to scalable impact.

Under the theme #Impact #Engagement #Megatrends #Data powered by AI, the Congress marked a new chapter in the sustainable finance conversation—one focused on measurable outcomes, regulatory credibility, and the strategic role of technology.

The Congress featured in-depth panels and interactive sessions covering biodiversity, industrial decarbonisation, impact investing, financial data science, AI implementation, and the future of ESG frameworks:

The future of sustainable finance will not be built on idealism alone, but on measurable results, rigorous data, and smart regulation. Participants emphasized the need to:

  • Improve disclosure and transparency using frameworks like TNFD and SFDR.
  • Empower impact investing with credible, comparable data.
  • Harness AI for scalable ESG analytics.
  • Align long-term profitability with environmental and social outcomes.

A comprehensive report capturing the insights, case studies, and recommendations from the event will be published in Q4 2025.
