Why have some UK intellectuals welcomed Brexit?

Some see Brexit as a victory for populists who misled the working classes and the less well-off in society into voting against their own interests. But that is a partisan analysis. Christopher Muttukumaru CB, chair of FIDE’s International Academic Council, argues that the speed of the UK’s domestic implementation of the new EU/UK Trade and Cooperation Agreement has inevitably resulted in a lack of legal certainty.
