Laurent Manderieux, Global Digital Encounters (GDE) Co-Director, Javier Fernandez Lasquetty, GDE Academic Coordinator and Alvaro Arribas, GDE Technical Coordinator, and the whole GDE Team, are pleased to announce that our Colleague Professor Manuel DESANTES REAL, Co-Director of the Global Digital Encounters, has been appointed the first European member of the Intellectual Property Committee of the China International Chamber of Commerce (CCOIC) Mediation Center as of 1 November 2021.
The CCOIC Mediation Center is the world’s leading mediation organization and its 52 partner centers handle more than 4,000 cases each year, with a success rate of over 70%, involving parties from more than 50 countries and regions. The CCOIC (http://ccoic.cn/ecms/) is part of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and has more than 100,000 companies among its members and more than 30 representative offices around the world.
This appointment of our Co-Director honors not only his career and his longstanding international involvement for the promotion of fair and dynamic international trade relations, but Europe as well.
